James “Jim” G. Boggess, 77, of Bedford, New Hampshire, and formerly of Temperance, Michigan, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 6, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.  Born November 26, 1937, in Obetz, Ohio, he was the son of Edward and Agnes (Hill) Boggess. He married Beverly M. Papp on March 2, 1957. Jim was a machine operator for GM Powertrain for 31 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Local 14, UAW in Toledo and enjoyed classic cars, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family.

 

Jim is preceded in death by his grandson Andrew “Drew” Boggess.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverly; children, James E. Boggess, Karen (Jeff) McKinley and Michael (Lindsay) Boggess; brother, Edward (Nancy) Boggess; sisters, Charlotte Shannon and Janet (Holly) Brown; 8 grandchildren, Angella Boggess, James A. Boggess, Whitney (Benjamin) Faulkingham, Kaitlin (Timothy) Becker, Amber Boggess, Rachel Boggess, Madison McKinley and Alexander Boggess; and 6 great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be at  held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to New Hampshire Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054, or at  www.HHHC.org.
